WSEM & WTC Announce Ironman 70.3 National Harbor Washington Sports & Event Management LLC (WSEM), producers of Washington DC Tri, & World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), announce the inaugural Ironman 70.3 National Harbor triathlon, scheduled for Aug. 5, 2012, at National Harbor in Prince George's County, Maryland. The 5150 series is an International distance triathlon Consisting of: 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run. It is the largest international distance triathlon series in the world and offers a competitive platform for professional and age group athletes. The 2012 event schedule will offer 11 domestic events as well as 6 international races. The Hy-Vee Triathlon will host the 5150 U.S. Championship, offering professional athletes the opportunity to compete for prize money. |

The 5150 series is an International distance triathlon consisting of: 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run. It is the largest international distance triathlon series in the world and is the first non-drafting international race series of its kind, offering a competitive platform for professional and age group athletes. The Hy-Vee Triathlon hosts the 5150 U.S. Championship, offering professional athletes the opportunity to compete for $1 million in prize money. DC Tri Pros On America's Main Street Paul Matthews from Santa Cruz, CA and Alicia Kaye from Maynard, MA were the top pros in the 2nd Annual Washington DC Triathlon, part of the 5150 Triathlon Series, which took place today in the nation’s capital, featuring a field of more than 3,000 competitors, from 433 cities, 43 states and 11 countries, including 41 professional triathletes. |
