International - Run 10K
Trace the footsteps of history along this one-of-a-kind run route through the heart of Washington, DC.
Constitution Avenue and Pennsylvania, both closed to traffic, provide a breathtaking journey through history as runners traverse DC’s monumental corridor, including The National Mall, the Washington Monument, The White House, the National Museum of American History, National Archives, National Art Gallery, and the U.S. Capitol Building.
The run course is mostly flat but has two steep climbs: 1) the first climb is early in the run approximately 1k into the run in front of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and Bureau of Printing and Engraving; 2) the second climb starts when runners enter Capitol Hill at the base of the U.S. Capitol Building leading up towards the Supreme Court and Library of Congress.
The finish line is on Pennsylvania Avenue -- America’s Main Street -- situated between 3rd and 4th St NW right in the shadow of the Capitol Building! Finish line photos will capture you crossing the finish line with the iconic Capitol Dome in the background!
There will be 5 aid stations along the course, located approximately 1 mile apart, offering water and electrolyte fluids and products.
